What changes?
WCAG AA requires at least 4.5:1 for most text and 3:1 for large text. Large means at least 18 points, or 14 points when bold; evaluate the actual foreground and background colors.
Use it in your work
Check body copy, placeholders, links, and text in every interactive state.
A common mistake
Judging pale gray text only by how it looks on one bright monitor.
Context matters
Logos, incidental text, and inactive controls have specific exceptions; passing a ratio is not complete accessibility.
